The safety of South Florida beaches is under scrutiny after a sunbather was injured by a heavy government vehicle on Fort Lauderdale’s beach.Critics say large lifeguard vehicles, such as pickup trucks, often leave drivers with a limited view of sunbathers on the sand in front of them.
